My Rite Aid Trip - 96% Savings!

Rite Aid was great this week.  They had tons of freebies (after coupons/UPR).  I didn't get them all because some of them I know I wouldn't use.  I did 2 transactions so that I could use some of my UPR earned in the 1st transaction to purchase diapers.  I love using store rewards to get diapers cheap or free! My total before sales and coupons was $44.65.  I spent $1.90 (before tax) and saved $42.75.  That is 96% savings!  I still have $10.50 UPR to use next week.

What a great week at Rite Aid!  I paid $0.49 OOP (pre -tax) for everything pictured below.  The total retail price was $89.66!  I will be submitting for a $16.69 mail in rebate for the Prevacid, and a $4.10 Rite Aid single check rebate for the Scope and Crest.  I am getting back $20.79 in rebates and left the store with $1.50 more UPR than I started with - making this a $21.80 money maker!

Saturday Target Trip

I made a quick trip to Target on Saturday to pick up a few Seventh Generation items and check out the clearance.  I wasn't super impressed with the clearance but I got a good deal on the Seventh Generation Cleaning Wipes.  I love these things and was able to pick them up for $0.99 each, normally retail at $2.99.  I did this by stacking a Target coupon and a manufacturer coupon.  I grabbed a few trial size cascade (4 pk. priced at $0.97) for FREE with my $1 ANY Cascade coupons from the recent P&G.  I also picked up a toothbrush holder to keep in the bathroom closet.  It doesn't even kind of match my bathroom but it was 75% off and will be kept in the closet so I decided it was okay. :)

Total Before Sales & Coupons: $15.90  -  Total Spent: $4.15  -  Total Saved: $11.75  or  74%

The boys and I went for a quick run to Rite Aid this morning.  They were out of the Bayer Advanced Aspirin (I wasn't surprised) but I did find a few clearanced toys.  I paid $4.54 for 2 fishing pole games and  1 Cradle Cap Shampoo.  I got back $1 UPR more than I spent.

My CVS Trip - 89.6% Savings!

I went to CVS this morning to use a $5/$30 coupon that expired today!  I needed CVS to have all the items on my list in stock because I needed to get my total to $30.  Things did not go as planned.  They only had 1 Skintimate and they were out of Keebler Granola Fudge.  I was still able to get a pretty good deal with a few last minute changes.  I spent $5.17 and saved $44.71, or 89.6%

I just got back from Piggly Wiggly and although they were sold out of a few things I hoped to get.  I made a few adjustments and think I still did pretty good.  I spent $20.85 and saved $36.45....a savings of 64%!

I made another trip to CVS because I realized I still had a printable coupon for $5 off any Bengay.  It is priced around $5.79 and you get $2 ECB back, making it a $1.21 MM.  I also wanted to see if the Green Tea was included in the Lipton Tea Deal $2.49 with $1 ECB back.  It was!!

My CVS Trip

I went out to CVS today.  The truth is the boys and I just needed to get out and I wanted to see what coupons were printing.  Lucky for me CVS has cars on the end of their carts so Nathan had a great time "driving" around the store.  I did get a few pretty good coupons.  I got 1 for $1.50 off ANY deodorant.  I am thinking that if I pair this with a manufacturer coupon and ECB deal I should have at least a freebie if not a money maker. 

I also got a coupon for B1G1 FREE Skittles, Starburst, or Lifesavers coupon (up to $4.29 value).  I paired that with (2) $1 manufacturer coupons and got overage!  My transaction looked like this:

Donating

One thing I love about couponing is that it has given me the ability to donate.  Over the course of only a few months I have more toiletry type items than I can use.   Sometimes I buy a few extra with the intent of donating them.  Most of the items I have gotten for free, or close to it.  I've been able to do this only buying 2 papers and without clearing the shelves.  It feels good to be able to give back.

Every once in a while I like to show you a picture of what I get in my mailbox so that you know the samples, coupons, and freebies you sign up will get to you....eventually.  I had completely forgotten that I signed up for these!

I made a little trip to Rite Aid on Sunday.  I was mostly interested in the Zantac and Finish Dishwasher Tabs but I got the Colgate so I could use the overage to lower the cost on my other items. I was surprised at how many Colgate my store had, their stock is usually pretty low. The Colgate went straight to my donation box.  *Sorry about the glare on the picture*

I got some great freebies in my mailbox today.  I like to do these posts every now and then to remind you that the things you sign up for do come...eventually!  They usually take long enough that I have forgotten I signed up for them, that makes getting them even more fun!

Another Rite Aid Trip!

Today in the mail I got a coupon for a FREE pack of Pull-Ups.  I got the coupon from points I redeemed using the Enjoy the Rides Program.  I had to head out to Rite Aid to take advantage of the Huggies +UP deal.  I was pretty excited about this deal because I hate paying for Pull-Ups.  We don't go through very many because Nathan only uses them when he is napping and at night so these should last about a month.

I got 2 packages of Pull-Ups and 1 gallon of milk: 

Total Retail: $27.87

Total paid OOP: $1.60 thats 94.5% savings!

Sunday's Rite Aid Trip

I went to Rite Aid this Sunday for the first time in 3 weeks!  I didn't have any UPR to start with.  I could have broken this down into smaller transactions, but I was feeling lazy and wanted to build up some UPR quickly.  I paid $6.40 and got back $8 UPR...not too bad! :)

I got (2) 6 oz. Crest Pro-Health Toothpastes, (2) Colgate 360 Surround Toothbrushes,
